Account Opening

Types of HK shares trading Accounts： Individual Account | Joint Account | Corporate Account

• Review the terms of the Client Agreement, picked up from our offices or mailed to you upon request.
• Submit a signed and completed Account Opening Form.
• Submit copies of the necessary supporting documents.

• Photocopy of Hong Kong Identity Card(s) or passport(s) of the proposed account holder(s);
• Proof of home address (e.g. utilities or telephone bills, bank statements, etc.)

• Copy of Certificate of Incorporation, certified by a Director or Company Secretary to be a true copy;
• Copy of current Business Registration Certificate certified by a Director or Company Secretary to be a true copy;
• Copy of Board Resolutions (certified by Company Secretary to be a true copy) authorising the entering into of the Agreement, and showing the directors or other personnel authorised to operate the account;
• Copy of Company's Memorandum and Articles of Association, together with list of directors, certified by the Director or the Company Secretary to be true and up-to-date;
• Photocopies of Hong Kong Identity Card(s) or passport(s) of each of the directors and others authorised to operate the account.

• If qualified witness is available:
  The Securities Trading Account Application Form must be signed by the client and witnessed in front of an employee of CSL, or any other registered person, a Justice of the Peace, branch manager of a bank, lawyer, certified public accountant or Notary Public in the case that you are located in overseas. When this Account Application Form is signed and witnessed by other than our employee, the witness must complete the Certification in the specified column of the Account Application Form.
• For individual client without a qualified witness:
  You can send us a crossed cheque payable to "Cornerstone Securities Limited" with the amount of not less than HK$10,000 and mentioned that further credit to your trading account with CSL. The crossed cheque should bear your name that shown in your Hong Kong ID card(s) or passport(s) and the signature of the current account with a Hong Kong licensed bank must be identical with the Account Application Form with CSL. Please also note that the securities trading account will not be activated until the cheque has cleared.
• Risk Disclosure Statement
  Please pay special attention to the risk disclosure statements set out in the Client Agreement.
